Tyler Varian co-founded PRIDE POINT to create more inclusive spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals in the sport he loves. Since 2021, Tyler has hosted tournaments and taught clinics for beginner and pro players alike, creating a space where athletes of all skill levels can connect, compete, and improve.Whether on the sand coaching players or behind the scenes organizing high-energy tournaments, Tyler works to ensure events are welcoming, fun, and accessible.

Alex Chigas
SANTA MONICA, CA
With 25 years of playing and 13 years of volleyball coaching experience, Alex has built a lifelong passion for the sport. Alex began hosting tournaments and teaching lessons in Santa Monica in 2021, creating a space where players could connect, compete, and grow.Recognizing the vibrant presence of volleyball within the LGBTQIA+ community, Alex co-founded PRIDE POINT, a beach volleyball lesson and tournament business dedicated to fostering inclusivity, skill development, camaraderie, and community.
